Hi, my name's Finn.
I'm a photographer from the UK, inspired by meditation and the simple beauty of nature.
I discovered meditation in 2016, when I was working in an intense job and feeling stressed out. One day I called up an old friend who asked if I’d ever tried meditation.
I said ‘No mate… I can’t really cross my legs.’
He laughed and reassured me that meditation doesn’t require extreme flexibility, secret monk skills or years of training.
You just sit, and breathe...
Around the same time, I discovered photography...
I was visiting family and noticed my Dad's film camera on the table. It reminded me of family holidays in Spain in the '90s.
From that day, I’ve always had a camera with me, wherever I go.
At first I took photos of the streets in London, then after a while, I caught moments of stillness, visual metaphors for meditation.
I created The Meditation Collection to create a point of focus and a celebration of the simple beauty in nature. You can use the prints to guide your meditation, or just as a beautiful print for your wall.
I’m not an expert, or trying to convince you of anything, I’m just sharing something I’ve found : )

TULIP
This beautiful single flower stood on its own in the cold morning air. I found this Tulip in my Mum's garden at the start of Spring, before any other flowers had been brave enough to bloom.

This daffodil stood alone in my back garden, bravely waiting for the warm weather to arrive. I took this photo at night, with the Daffodil's bright orange petals lit by the garden lights.

DANDELION
In the fields above Seven Sisters cliffs, I found this dandelion stood alone in the breeze. I stopped to take photos and meditate in the field, with the sea stretching as far out as the eye could see.

MAGNOLIA
This beautiful Magnolia flower burst into life in the streets near my house, a huge blooming tree like a giant cherry blossom. But it was only fleeting, with each of the petals falling away in less than a day.

ABOUT THE ARTIST
My name is Finn Evans, I'm a photographer from the UK. My artwork is inspired by the simple beauty of the everyday world, with a particular focus on light, geometry and space.
My photography work has been featured on Sky Arts and selected by photography publications including Life Framer, Booooooom and Lens Culture. I have collaborated with brands including Boiler Room and ASOS and my work is collected both in the UK and abroad.
